Changu Lake which is in the Nathula highway is about 13000ft high. A small
temple of Lord Shiva is near this lake. The way to Changu Lake is awesome and exploratory.
With narrow hair pin bends, way to Changu Lake is a real roller coaster ride on
the roads. Whole of this journey you will experience mist filled roads, side by
which you can have a fantastic view of the hill ranges and the Pine forests of
Himalayas. Many army camps will be present on the
way.
The city is garlanded with many
flower
gardens. Gangtok is a land of paradise with rare and unseen
greeneries and wide varieties of
orchids.
Adding to the beauty, there is a waterfall called Banjhakri falls which is an
awesome treat for the eyes to watch. A valley called Yumthang whose location at
12,000 ft high is as high as the
sky.
The valley floor is covered with wild multicoloured flowers. Yumthang
Hot Springs are near this valley.

are The Institute if Tibetlogy,
Deer Park
and the National Park. This land is much
more
than a picnic spot for all nature admirers. The best time to
visit is during summer that’s between March and May.
